School’s out for summer!

Tuesday was Gavin’s last day of his first year of preschool. It was a time for families to come in and have a picnic lunch with sundaes for dessert. The kids made shirts at school that they wore to the picnic.

After lunch the kids were able to run around the gym and play together for one last time until next school year.

Hard to believe it was now his last day of school.

The class had one last circle time.

Everyone said their goodbyes.

We picked up Gavin’s portfolio that his teachers put together. There’s some great stuff in there from the school year, including pictures of Gavin at school that the teachers took. It’s a great memento and I am so thrilled to have it.

Before we knew it, it was time to go and just like that his first year of school was over. We headed home ready for a break from the school year and hoping for some warm, sunny weather. Some of us were more tired than others…

…and went right down for a nice snooze when we got home.
