Halloween!

October 28th brought plenty of Halloween festivities! Our city has Trick or Treat night on days other than October 31st if Halloween falls on Friday- Sunday. So, our Trick or Treat night was the 28th. On October 31st I told Gavin, “Happy Halloween!” and he said, “Again?” A bit confusing for the kids and heck, for some adults too I think!

To start the day we carved pumpkins.

Gavin had fun scooping all of the goop out of the pumpkins.

However, he did not have fun actually touching the goop with his hands.

After we finished pumpkin carving it was time to go to Gavin’s preschool. They had a parade through the gym so everyone could see the kids in their costumes. Afterwards we were able to take a class picture. Unfortunately, I missed putting these pictures on my Flickr account and don’t have them accessible to share them here. Oops!

We had Julianne and Jay over for dinner and afterwards we got the kids dressed for Trick or Treat! Abby was a cat and Gavin was a dog. He desperately wanted to be a dog this year. I figured he’d choose a Toy Story character or something else related to his current interests but he didn’t.

Abby had a cute tail on the back of her costume.

Gavin couldn’t wait to get out and Trick or Treat. The last thing he was interested in was taking these pictures. Abby had a runny nose so we left her home with the J’s while we took Gavin out.

Love the ears and the tail!

After we had taken Gav around for a bit we went back to the house. Gav wanted some gloves because his hands were cold. Back out he went with Julianne and Jay. He apparently didn’t want to go far though because they came back after a few houses. It wasn’t until a bit later when he’d been helping to hand out candy at home that he realized he might like to go Trick or Treating some more to get more candy.

We had a great Halloween and hope everyone else did too!
