In May we visited Cincinnati to take Gavin to the Cincinnati Zoo and the Duke Energy Children’s Museum at Union Terminal. We stayed at Nana’s house and had a wonderful time visiting with her.
Nana with both of her great-grandkids!
Every grandchild and great-grandchild has loved playing the organ at Nana’s house. Gavin had so much fun making his own tunes.
I absolutely love this photo!
The Cincinnati Zoo
The Cincy Zoo has an awesome giraffe exhibit. This was the first time we had been to see it since it was redone a few years ago. We do not have giraffes in our zoo. Unfortunately in taking this picture of B and Gav, I neglected to include a giraffe!
It was a whopping 94 degrees this day. We were absolutely roasting! Gavin had his first Icee. Yum! We were desperate for anything that would cool us down.
Gavin loved riding the train. He asked us about riding the train all day long. It reminded me so much of going to the Cincy Zoo when I was a kid.
Abigail also enjoyed the train ride. She slept most of the time we were at the zoo and was drenched with sweat when I picked her up out of her carrier to feed her.
Brandon took some great pictures of the animals. Almost every animal was in their exhibit. It’s so disappointing to go to a zoo and find most of the animals are put away. But, we were lucky this day and we got to see so many creatures.
The Duke Energy Children’s Museum at Union Terminal
Gavin loved seeing dinosaurs! Next time you see him, ask him to roar. He has quite the fierce roar.
Daddy and Gavin played dinosaurs. I didn’t know if we’d ever get Gavin away from this table. He had so much fun playing with all the different dinosaurs.
This pump actually pumped water. Gavin loves water and of course had to give this pump a try.
He may not floss his own teeth but he can floss a gigantic set of teeth like a pro!
Gavin loved playing in the ball area of the museum. He went around collecting balls to put in the pipe. The only way we got him out of there was to tell him we were going to the water play area.
The water play area, Gavin’s other favorite spot in the museum. He had so much fun playing in the water! The only reason it ended was because he got his finger pinched in a pulley.
Abby slept the entire time. I had to wake her when we left to feed her because she’d slept so long and hadn’t eaten since the morning. Poor babe was so tired from our zoo excursion the day before that she just needed sleep.
We had a great time in Cincinnati and look forward to going back again!
