Abby looked beautiful in her dress.
I loved the ribbon that tied around the back of her dress in a bow. The stitching on the dress was gorgeous.
Gavin was handsome in his shirt and tie. He’d never worn a tie before. Overall he did well but he did rip it off in the middle of the service. When I took him to Kohl’s to buy his outfit and tie for the baptism, he took the tie and tried to hide it in a clothes rack. Are boys born with a dislike for wearing ties?
She slept through the entire thing.
The Pastor handed Gavin the candle and I nearly freaked out. I thought to myself, “Who hands a two year old a lit candle?” But, the man of faith had some serious faith in my kid. Gavin did wonderfully and didn’t burn himself or Brandon.
The Pastor presented Abby to the church. Amy and Drew are her godparents.
After the service everyone took a gazillion pictures:
The church makes these banners for every child who gets baptized.

After church we went back to our house for a celebration lunch.
The cake was one of the many delicious desserts of the day! Mom made some delicious frozen treats.
It was a beautiful day and a wonderful time of celebration with our family. Thank you to everyone for being there!
