If you’ve met Abby, or maybe just read the blogs here, you
may note that she has quite the personality.
As a little lady, she has quite the mood swings as well. Sometimes it’s amusing for us to watch, much
to her displeasure. Here is an example:
This is Abby when she is mad. Who knows what she’s so upset about but you
can bet she was screaming her head off about something. She says, “SO MAD!”
The angry fit continues for a few minutes while she’s
followed around the house getting her picture taken and she only gets more upset.
Abby decides to turn around in the corner and yell some
more. She probably screamed, “Stop it!” That’s her number two phrase after, “So mad!”
Just like that she turned around and was happy as a
clam. Talk about a mood swing!
She even did her “ribbit ribbit” frog jump.
Things around here can be exhausting. I can’t imagine why.

Abby isn’t the only one who is contrary. Gavin is challenging in his own way at times. On the particular night below he didn’t want
whatever we had for dinner. We don’t run
a diner here in our household so for the most part you eat what you’re served. However, I’ve been woken up by a hungry child
at midnight who cried for a snack. To
avoid that unpleasant experience, the furthest I will usually cave when they
don’t eat what’s served is a yogurt.
We told Gav to make his own dinner. He decided he wanted peanut butter crackers
so he got the crackers, asked for the peanut butter, got a knife, and went to
work. It was interesting to see what the
little guy is capable of.
Not much else to report from here. We’ve been trying to get into the swing of
school and I think we’ve been stunned at the amount of school work that comes
home with a kindergartner. Hopefully Gavin’s attention span and our
patience will increase as time goes by.
Have a great weekend!
