Final Staycation Post

Let’s wrap up the Y Family Vacation with days five through seven.  We had a busy week!

On day five we went to Sky Zone, the library, and the movies!

The kids love going to Sky Zone.  We usually only do a half hour because I’m not certain if Abby is up for much more than that yet.  Gavin could probably bounce for hours. 

Abby loves to bounce a bit, cross her legs and land on her bottom.

Gavin went to jump into the foam block pit while Abby kept jumping in the little kids area.

Super cheese! 

Later we went to see the latest Ice Age movie.

On day six we kept it low key.  We took the kids to the park to get out some energy and then relaxed at home the rest of the day. 

Gavin climbs on these over and over.  He’s so proud that he’s mastered them.  Clearly I have no idea what “they” are called.

What a couple of cuties!

Abby is such a big girl she can climb all the way up by herself!

The kids wouldn’t go down this slide until mommy went down the slide a few times.  Abby wouldn’t go by herself so I took her several times. 

I had Brandon take a turn taking Abby down the slide.  These slides are definitely not made for adults!

On day seven, our final day of vacation, we went to the US Air Force Museum.  We went two years ago and thought it might be fun to take the kids back again.

The museum has a gorgeous Memorial Park.  The weather was mild on this visit so we took a walk around before going inside.

Isn’t that the truth!

The exhibits were amazing as always.  There are so many exhibits it would take days to read everything and go through the hangars with a fine toothed comb. 

The kids were launching a jet and trying to catch it on the first guide wire like on an aircraft carrier. 

Now darn it, put yourself in the back and take a picture but whatever you do, DO NOT TOUCH THE SUIT!

We had a great time on our staycation and enjoyed seeing some places we’ve never been.  Now we’re into the school year and I’m sure we’ll have some upcoming blog material from school.  We welcome cooler temperatures, college football, and the scents of Fall!
