I’m definitely falling behind in my blogging. We had family dinner a few weeks ago. Nana came up for a visit and it was so good
to see her. It had been several months
since we saw her last.
When I arrived Nana was reading books with Abby on the
couch. Abby loves to read books. When she is supposed to be napping, she’ll
climb out of bed, grab a pile of books, and sit up on her bed and look at
them.
We gave Grammy her birthday present. She loves her garden stone!
Abby was having fun with Aunt Julianne and Uncle Jay.
Poppy manned the grill cooking up burgers for dinner.
Gavin wanted to play football. Actually what he wanted was for Poppy to
throw it over the house from the backyard to the front. In June when we were at my parent's house my
sister gave dad a new football as part of his father’s day gift. We then started recounting stories of how dad
would throw the ball over the house and into the backyard when we were
kids. Gavin of course wanted to see this
feat.
Poppy was trying to get the burgers cooked up so Uncle Jay
gave the ball a toss over the house instead.
Well done!
Abby wanted to play football too. Her idea of playing is to run up and toss the
ball almost right into your hands.
When she had her sights set on who she was going to toss the
ball to next, there was no changing her mind.
Nana watched the kids play football.
Time to eat!
We had a great family dinner. We missed B; he was at work this time. We’re looking forward to the next one!
Side note, Gav is riding his bike like crazy! He wants to go on a ride every night. Thankfully it wears him out and he stays in
bed after I put him down. Exercise for
him and peace and quiet after bedtime for me!
