Last week we went to a Columbus Clippers game.
If you live in the area or in Ohio for that matter, it’s worth checking out. The park is nice, clean, the game is entertaining, and the tickets are cheap.
Gavin was prepared with his baseball glove.
Gavin wore his baseball cap that he got at the Clippers game last year so of course Abby needed one as well.
Abby loved wearing her hat. She kept it on almost the entire time. When it started getting late and she started to turn into Crabby Abby she was done with the hat.
Gavin desperately wanted the players to throw the ball to him so that he could throw it back while they were warming up. I felt bad for the little guy because he wanted to play with the team so badly.
Shortly after the game started the Clippers had a grand slam. Everyone was very excited, Gavin was cheering and Abby was clapping. Anytime people started clapping, Abby would clap too. She’d smile and laugh. She had a great time!
The future? I’m shocked he actually smiled for the picture. Usually he doesn’t want to pose anymore.
On the way out we stopped for a picture at the baseball mitt. Unfortunately the Little Miss was having none of it. She wanted to go home and get to “night night.”
The weather was perfect for jeans and short sleeved shirts that night. Fortunately there was no rain or humidity. We had so much fun and look forward to going back some time!
Stay tuned for more summer adventures!
