A couple weeks ago I was taking pictures of Gavin’s sports balls to create some artwork for his sports themed room. I’ve wanted to do this for quite some time and finally decided to get it done. The kids were supposed to be napping and I had some blessed peace and quiet to go play with my camera and take some pictures. My peace and quiet didn’t last long because a certain four year old I know has decided he only sometimes likes to take naps now. So, he hung out with me outside. He decided he wanted to pose so I was able to get some cute pictures of him.
I mentioned that Gavin wanted to pose. Yes, he certainly did, in his own way. He wasn’t keen on moving any way that I asked him to. I’ll take what I can get these days as he really isn’t excited about me taking pictures of him all the time.
Mocha was helping out with pictures too. She looked so beautiful sitting in the shade. She adores the kids and Gavin has been her boy since we brought him home from the hospital.
For Gavin, Mocha has been his dog. Their feelings are definitely mutual.
I had our down comforter spread out over some chairs that day so it could freshen up. The set up created a nice tent for Gavin to play under.
We hid in the tent for a little while and he said, “Take my picture, Mom!” So I did. Over and over.
While I didn’t get much in the way of peace and quiet that day, I did get some one on one time with Gavin and that was priceless.
