How we spent the 4th of July
On the Fourth of July, Brandon took the kids to the parade put on by the township to our north.
There was a bit of a rain shower before the parade started.
Thankfully the rain didn’t last long and the kids were able to roam around a bit before the parade started.
Gav and Abby had a great time watching all of the people, animals, cars, and trucks drive by.
Abby clapped as people walked by.
Gavin loved the miniature horses. He also collected plenty of candy and fliers.
Later that day we all went to the fireworks event. There are plenty of pre-fireworks activities to keep the kids busy such as bounce houses, music, and food. Gavin loved sliding down the slides and bouncing around!
Go Gavin!!!
We found a great spot in the grass right in front of the launch area. Of course, we were still quite a distance away for safety reasons but it doesn’t get any more front row than this.
Drew, Jen, and Olivia joined us for the fireworks. Abby enjoyed visiting with her godfather.
A bit snowy of a picture but it didn’t turn out too bad considering it was actually nearly completely dark. The sky behind us shows it being much lighter but it was dark and just before show time.
The show was spectacular as always.
We all enjoyed a great Fourth of July!
