Playtime:
This handsome fella puts on a hat every morning. If he forgets, he runs back to his room and picks one out. He loves wearing baseball caps. Today we were about to leave for church, “Oh my hat!” he exclaimed. I told him no hats at church. Thankfully there wasn’t a battle over it.
Here’s daddy’s rock star as her shirt says. I’ve been trying to get pictures of Abby in some of her outfits because she’s growing out of things so quickly! These little black stretch capris were adorable and really showed off her chubby legs. I love those little legs!!!
And now she’s a rock princess forever according to this shirt. She is wearing little yoga pants and looks so cute. She loves rolling around on the floor playing with her toys.
“Are you planning to continue taking pictures of me? You’ll need to call my agent.”
Gav spent this particular morning playing Handy Manny. He insisted I take pictures of his Handy Manny’s in their cars. I did but I won’t subject everyone else to it. You can see them here in the picture anyway.
CanAm Police and Fire Games were held here recently and had a family event the first night. Gavin had a blast.
He loves bounce houses and since there wasn’t a huge turnout he got to bounce as much as he wanted.
“Dad! What is with you and mom always taking my picture?”
Gav climbed on the fire trucks.
He played in a police cruiser.
He even sat on a police motorcycle.
And this had better be the one and only time he ever sits in the back of a prisoner transport vehicle.
Finally he got to hold the K-9’s leash. Wow!
Splash pad!
We had a play date with one of Gavin’s buddies at a splash pad recently. Contrary to what it looks like here, Gavin didn’t participate in much water play. They spent more time over on the playground adjacent to the pad.
Abby hung out in the shade as much as possible. Her hat is way too big but it provided a little more shade than the other one she has which she is getting close to growing out of! We couldn’t have had a more beautiful day. I wish I could post the picture of Gav and his friend but I don’t want to without permission from his mom first.
Gav’s first school backpack!
Next year we’ll have to go get him a backpack when they first come out on the shelves. By the time we went looking all of the smaller backpacks except this Toy Story one were gone. So there wasn’t much of a choice for the little fella. He looked at some of the bigger ones but those were all about half his size so I didn’t want him to have one that was too big.
He’s all ready to go! He loves Toy Story but I don’t think he was completely sold on this one.
He seems pretty happy here though. If we bought a backpack we got a free lunch box so he also has a Toy Story lunch box. He mostly uses it for storing his treasures.
Anyone remember this game??? Chutes and Ladders!
We are trying to introduce Gavin to some games. He sure loves to spin the spinner but he’s not so much a fan of counting the spaces like he should.
Gavin calls the spinner a clock. I try to tell him it’s not a clock but to him, it has numbers like a clock, has a pointer that goes around like a clock so it must be a clock.
Abby taking her turn just before blowing out her diaper.
We never got to finish this game even with as jovial as everyone appears here. “Someone” decided that it was more fun to shove all the characters around on the board instead. This particular someone is under the age of 28 but older than 5 months. I wonder who it could be… So we decided we’d come back to playing this another time.
Whew! Now we are up to Abby’s first cereal feeding. Yes that’s right, she’s eating cereal now. But that will be another post for another day. I don’t want to try and cram it all in here. There are some really cute pictures of her and Gavin playing with his Buckeye hat too. Stay tuned!
