Florida Days 3 & 4

March 7, 2009 the three of us headed off to St. Pete Beach. It was a beautiful day and the beach wasn't crowded. This was Gavin's first beach experience.


Snack time! Or "nacks" as Gavin calls them.


Gavin and Brandon building sand castles. Except, every time Brandon put down a little structure Gavin would knock it over.


Gavin liked the beach but at first he wasn't confident about walking on the sand. The broken shells hurt his little feet and he kept wanting to be carried even when we weren't walking on the shells. We made him walk on the sand and he got used to it.

The Gulf was FREEZING! Here Gavin gets it on his feet.

We had lunch at a seafood place called The Hurricane. It was delicious food. We sat outside in the beautiful weather across the street from the beach.

March 8, 2009 we went to the Florida Strawberry Festival. It was hot that day and we all ended up with some sunburn on our necks from sitting in the sun during the Love & Theft concert.

Gavin enjoyed a freshly baked chocolate chip cookie.
