Gavin's First Pee in the Potty!!!

Okay so maybe it's a little weird to be putting this up on the internet but for everyone who's so far away I'll post it just so you can share in our excitement!!! We haven't been pushing Gav to use the potty. We bought him one and he's sat on it willingly with his diaper on. He's started noticing when he needs to potty and warns us when it's coming and then says "Elmo" afterward. His diapers have Elmo on them for those of you who don't know. Thus, they've been called Elmos and not diapers. Anyway, after bath today he was sitting on top of the big toilet in the bathroom all wrapped in his towel brushing his teeth. He said to me "potty" and pointed to his little frog potty. I helped him to his potty. The bathroom door wasn't closed all the way so he got back up and said "closed" and pushed the door shut. Then he sat back down and peed while I was cleaning up the bath toys. I couldn't believe it. The adorable kid knew what he needed to do and knew where he needed to do it! It was amazing!!!! He seemed rather proud of himself and we are certainly proud of him!
