There were all sorts of fun Halloween activities at our house on 10/29. Our neighborhood had trick-or-treat on Thursday and since Brandon and I were both off work we did all the fun stuff on that day.
Gavin helped prepare the sugar cookie dough for making sugar cookie cut outs of cats, ghosts, bats, and pumpkins.
He didn't really have a system for where he would place the cookie cutters so mommy helped a little.
Gav wanted to help with the spatula to get the cookies off of the sheet.
When we were ready to ice the cookies Gav wasn't as interested in the icing part as he was in the picking up and taking little bites out of several of the cookies.
Brandon iced a couple of cookies also. Unfortunately with the window blinds open and the flash on, B looks almost like a ghost himself! Oops!
Pumpkin carving time. Here Gavin was drumming on the pumpkin with the scoops while I worked on getting the top of his pumpkin drawn and cut so we could clean it out.

Both of the boys scooping out pumpkin guts. Aren't they cute in their black t-shirts and jeans?
After Brandon got his pumpkin cleaned out, he and Gavin started separating seeds from pulp so we could roast the seeds.

Time for trick-or-treat! Gavin was a dinosaur.
He was roaring at some of the people coming our way.
Gavin's first house. He was so quiet when he said trick-or-treat and thank you. We'd been practicing all day but he was still a bit shy.
Daddy and his dinosaur.
Our pumpkins. Brandon's is the one on the left, Gav's in the middle, and mine is the one on the right.

Gavin helped himself to a fun size Milky Way.
Gavin wanted one of the cookies we'd made earlier but he only ate the icing. This is his cute little face covered in orange icing.
Little fella was all tuckered out by bedtime. It'd been a busy day full of Halloween festivities!
