Daddy's Little Helper

Gavin and Brandon spent time raking leaves a couple weeks ago.  It's nearing time to do it again, those pesky things just keep falling from the trees.  Anyway, Gavin was very excited about the entire process.  He found himself jumping in leaf piles and having a wonderful time!

Gavin helped by scooping up some leaves and hauling them over to the wheelbarrow.

He's a strong little fella!

There's nothing quite like jumping into a pile of freshly raked leaves.  Gavin discovered this all on his own.  Brandon suggested maybe it's a built in thing with kids because Gavin didn't need to be shown how to do this, he just did it.  Or maybe they just like to make messes and get dirty and this is one way to do it.  Who knows!

The grin he gets when he's having so much fun is priceless.

Now for a couple of other photos we've taken recently:

Gavin playing a Dora game on the new laptop.  It's the first computer game he's ever played although he has played with Paint a few times.  And the new laptop, that's because a Windows update killed our computer.  I fixed the computer but couldn't get the internet hooked up.  In trying to get the internet hooked back up, I tried installing drivers etc. and managed to re-kill the computer.  Sooooo...we've had some issues to say the least.

For those who don't know, Gav's been battling a virus the last week.  Poor guy has been miserable.  On Thursday I let him hang out in his jammies in the morning.  I had been folding laundry and he wanted to play with a laundry basket.  I got one out for him and he pushed it all around the house.  While running the vacuum I noticed Gavin had made the laundry basket into a "comfortable" place to sit.  I left the vacuum running so that he'd not know I was sneaking to get the camera and take his picture.

The photo above and directly below were shots I snapped quickly before he noticed what I was doing.

When I saw him trying to recline and put his head back I grabbed a pillow for him thinking he'd lean back on it.  Instead he briefly curled up like this.  Shortly after that he abandoned this spot for a more comfortable spot on the couch.

Stay tuned....
