Happy New Year?

This year Brandon and I were both off on New Year's Eve. Being the first time in a while that we were both off for the festivities we decided to really do things up...

...by sitting at home and struggling to stay awake until 2014.

Here we are in 2013!

Woo hoo! Confetti is falling everywhere and people are joyous for a fresh start.

Now look at us in 2014!!! My how things change from year to year. :)

We didn't let the kids stay up and I liken sleeping kids to sleeping dogs, let them lie (a lesson learned the hard way with both, but I digress). We recorded the New Year's festivities on the DVR thinking the kids could have a little celebration in the morning. DVR'ing has many benefits including, but not limited to, fast forwarding through anything featuring Miley Cyrus.

Brandon turned on the TV and was trying to start the recording. It wouldn't play. Either something caused the recording to be blocked or the DVR was not functioning properly that night. I went for the laptop so we could pull it up on You Tube.

Here we go...counting down! The kids are so excited....

HAPPY...2013?

"Mom!?"

So when I went looking for the video I thought I found the right one. They all look the same with the crystal ball coming down and all kinds of people standing around in anticipation. How was I supposed to know the difference between what I had just watched on TV not 12 hours before and what I was watching on the computer? Maybe it was a different recording...maybe? Anyone? No? Well fine then, moving on...

I found the correct video and now it's time to try this again.

Now it's time for Happy New Year 2014!

We no longer have the party horns in case anyone was wondering. They disappeared and I have no idea what could have happened to them!
