Gavin has been enjoying Cub Scouts the last few months. It's kept us busy on Monday nights and other days when they have special events.

Abby did well hanging out with all the boys. Of course we went to the game on a night when they handed out cow bells. Those cow bells made it to the basement shortly after the kids went to bed that night.
Gavin looks so cute in his uniform!
The pack also took a trip to the observatory on the OSU campus. I spent all those years at OSU and never saw the observatory.
Many thanks to everyone who bought popcorn! Gavin was the top seller in the entire pack. Any seller who sold over $500 got to throw a pie in the face of a den leader of their choosing or a parent. Gavin was instructed not to choose me. I reminded him of who cooks his meals, washes his clothes, and drives him around town and strongly suggested that he choose a den leader.
Unfortunately Gavin missed the first try and the pie went over his den leader's left shoulder. On a second try the den leader gave him a little assistance.
Gavin was quite amused.
We've enjoyed a holiday break from all the Cub Scout activities. Gav was supposed to have an outing Monday night but everything around here has been cancelled due to the cold weather. He was also supposed to go back to school Monday but ended up with two additional days off school. We are all ready for the kids to go back to school. There's been a lot of togetherness going on in our house and we need some space. By we I mostly mean B and I from the kids but the kids are bickering so much it's horrible. The two of them need to be away from each other for a bit.
Here's hoping for some new found peace in the New Year!!!
