Gavin is back to school!
He was excited to wear his new sneakers and carry his new
lunchbox and backpack.
This year we didn’t have to run to the bus stop so we had
more time to get pictures. We couldn’t
get Gavin and Abby to cooperate for a good sibling photo but I happened to snap
this one quickly.
Here comes the bus and it’s time to say goodbye!
Abby! Come over
here! You aren’t getting on the bus
(even though it would be awesome if you were going to school for the day too! J)
He’s officially off to first grade!
We had a busy day at home doing some projects around the
house. Abby relaxed and played without
her brother’s harassment. Even so, we
missed the big guy. As I was painting a
door I thought to myself, Gav would love to be helping with this stuff. He loves to help with home projects. On his second day of school Abby and I went
grocery shopping. She looked a bit
downcast and said, “I wish Gavin was here.”
They fight nearly the whole way through the store but she wanted her big
brother.
Finally home at the end of a long first day of school! He was tired.
We expected that but he’s been completely wiped out and in no mood to be
cooperative.
On Sunday night he said, “Mom, I have school tomorrow! I only had two days off!?” He only had three days of school last
week. I’m interested to see how he feels
Friday afternoon after a full week of all day school.
Have a great week! I’m
sure it will be an interesting one here!
