A Tale of Two Seasons

I snapped this shot last week.  I never want to forget that Abby places her dolls, any type of doll, under the covers to sleep.  Sometimes she’ll place her Barbie dolls on the floor covered up by her “tissue” so that they can go to sleep.  She has some burp cloths that we kept back so that she could use them when playing with her baby dolls.  She calls these former burp cloths “tissues.”  Other times she puts dolls or figures under the covers lying on her pillow.  This is the same pillow she should be lying on during nap time but does things like this instead while she plays on the floor.

Early in the week it snowed.  Yuck.  We are so done with snow and ready to have some spring weather.  Brandon took the opportunity, hopefully the last this season, to get the kids out in the snow to play.

Daddy and the kids built a snowman.  They even got out real carrots!

The kids like sledding down our slope.  It’s not a hill, it’s a slope and Daddy ends up dragging the sled around.

Gavin and Abby appear to be working together.  If it hadn’t been caught on camera I wouldn’t believe it.

Later in the week we finally had some sunshine and warmer temps!

Brandon took the kids over to the park while I was at a meeting.  They played on the playground and took a nature walk.

The kids were glad to have played outside in the fresh air.  They even got rid of some of their energy which doesn’t seem to have happened in quite some time. 

Here’s hoping the weather keeps improving!
