Gavin's first Smores experience! We have a little dessert cooker center thinga-ma-bob so we can cook yummy things like Smores indoors. He didn't know quite what to do with it. We cut it up into even smaller pieces and he finally started eating and boy did he like it!
Gavin finger painting. He never really took to finger painting when we tried it out a long while back. When looking for something to entertain him a a week or two ago and being inspired by his finger painting with ketchup at dinner, I thought I'd give it another go. He had great fun!

The King of His Domain! At Toys R Us last week they asked if Gavin was part of the Birthday Club. I told them that he was although we never received anything in the mail this year. I got him signed up again and they told me that since it's only been a few weeks we can stop by the desk and get his crown and balloon. He liked the balloon of course and didn't mind wearing the crown. Then the other day we went outside to clean up the flowerbeds and he insisted on wearing his crown. Little fella marched around the front yard wearing his crown proudly while intermittently picking grass and placing it in his empty snack cup.

Nothing else new to report. Our project to rearrange some things around the house and get Gav into his big boy bed is in full swing. We laid carpet in the basement this weekend, cleaned out the basement, Brandon built himself a wardrobe (Ikea furniture) for his uniforms to keep down there, cleaned all the furniture out of the spare room (aka cat's room and no they aren't pleased), Brandon built three new bookshelves for the office and they are AMAZING and we rearranged some books and such. Now we have to paint Gav's new room, get him some bedding, and Brandon needs to put together all his new furniture. Still a bit of work ahead but we're progressing. We figure we better get to it since he's trying to figure out how to get out of his crib!
